The TAR vocabularies build on the symantic language models implemented by multiple reknown art world institutions and experts. It is a developer and enduser friendly living dictionary of the art world that consumes and merges data from a multitude of sources into a single unified library. All sources are respected and referenced.
The Art Register also serves as the gateways for the Blockchain based Certification system that is accessed by Collekton. This system is built on the Ethereum blockchain and uses the ERC-1155 standard for the certification of artworks. The managment of the certificates is done through the Collekton ID and The Art Register API. It offers both Certificates of Authenticity and Certificates of Ownership. The certificates are stored on the Ethereum blockchain and are verifiable by anyone. They are as close to immutable as possible and are therefore the most trusted source of authenticity and ownership for artworks.
